Building
After another round of heavy rains last week, progress on the building was slowed once again. Even so, this is an exciting season for the project as structural steel has now arrived onsite and installation is underway. The towering beams are beginning to rise, giving everyone a much clearer picture of the scale and shape of the future building. Steel installation is expected to continue over the next 14–21 days. As the new structure takes its place, the temporary roof will be removed and replaced with the permanent roof system. Each week brings us one step closer to seeing the vision become reality.
Park
The park is nearing completion and looks better every week. The grass is growing and beginning to fill in nicely across the property. Picnic tables have been installed, and park benches will be completed soon. The sidewalk running parallel to the road is in its final stages and will connect to the city’s crosswalk at the northeast corner of our property, providing access to the new neighborhood across the street. The fishing dock is also nearing completion, with the deck expected to be installed within the next 7–10 days.
